RS – 2 cationic Rapid Setting Cationic Bitumen Emulsion specifically designed and have high residual binder content and high viscosity to minimize the occurrence of run-off and are most suited for application such as Surface Dressing, Grouting and Penetration Macadam.
Bitumen emulsion is a mixture of water & bitumen. We know that bitumen is an oil product and it cannot be mixed with water. That is why we add an emulsifier (a surface-active agent) with water before adding bitumen. Addition of emulsifier with water facilitates the breaking of bitumen into minute particles and keeps it dispersed in suspension.
